Deendayal Upadhyay Sahkarita Kisan Kalyan Yojana for Uttarakhand:

Uttarakhand government is going to start Deendayal Upadhyaya Kisan Kalyan Yojana 2019 for small and marginal farmers. Under Deendayal Upadhyay Sahkarita Kisan Kalyan scheme, the government will provide loans to all farmers at low-interest rates. The Government of Uttarakhand will provide agricultural loans up to Rs 1 lakh at an interest rate of only 2%. This assistance under Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Cooperative Farmers Welfare Scheme will enable farmers in the hill areas to earn more income and will also promote mixed farming.

The main goal of Deendayal Upadhyaya Kisan Kalyan Yojana 2019 is to double the income of farmers by the year 2022. Farmers in rural areas will also get relief from debt trap and will be able to sustain their livelihood. To give a major boost to the agricultural sector and raise the standard of living of the farmers, the government will introduce 2 new schemes. These two schemes are named Deendayal Upadhyaya Kisan Kalyan Yojana and Integrated Cooperative Development Scheme. These schemes has inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi to realize the dream of doubling farmer income the year 2022.

Under the Uttarakhand Deendayal Upadhyaya Kisan Kalyan Yojana, the government will provide agricultural loans up to Rs 1 lakh at an interest rate of only 2%. All the farmers have to repay the loan amount within a period of 3 years. Compensation charges will be levied on the farmer after 1 year for non-payment of the loan amount.

The government has informed that they have formed the Rural Development and Transfer Commission to strengthen the rural economy. Uttarakhand is the 5th state in the country where the DBT scheme has been launched under a centrally funded initiative. Till now, the Central Government has released a subsidy of 75 lakh crores for the farmers. The Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme will help the farmer to purchase fertilizers. The subsidy will be deposited directly in the bank account of the farmer.

In addition, the farmer will get a soil health card to check the soil of the farm so that they can use seeds, fertilizers or pesticides as per the soil requirement. Apart from this, about 2.5 lakh people who cannot be covered under Ujjwala scheme will be covered soon and free LPG connections will also be given.
