(Munsyari) Khaliya Top Surrounded by the beautiful snowy peaks: Munsyari is a small town located in the Pithoragarh district of Kumaon Uttarakhand, and there lies the Khaliya top at the altitude of 3500 meters. The Top is surrounded with the magnificent snowy peaks, some of the peaks that surround the top are Panchachuli, Hardeol and Nanda Koat peaks.

At a distance of 9 km from munsyari balati band arrives, there is an Igloo restaurant and there is parking on the side the capacity of which is up to 5 four-wheeler vehicles. After a nice hot sip of tea at the restaurant, you can start the trek which is around 6 km long and will take approximately 2 1/2 hours to reach the top where there is a guest house and camping facility.

The best part about the Khaliya top is that the scenery there changes in every season, in the summers and springs, the top is covered with green grasses and beautiful small flowers that bloom there. In winters the whole top is covered with thick snow and the surrounding area consists of different beautiful peaks sparkling like a pearl.

Although the experience in winters could be a little difficult for some people who are not used to such cold weather, there is food facility available at the guest house which might be a bit costlier due to obvious reasons.
